Iran West Paydar oil production beyond 30k bpd

The average production rate of oil from West Paydar shared oilfield with Iraq has exceeded 30,000 bpd this (Iranian) year (started March 2016), reported the news agency of Iran oil ministry.

The average production rate of crude oil from West Paydar oilfield was over 25,000 bpd last year, which grew to 30,000 bpd this year.

Based on the report released by National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC), this oilfield is shared with Iran’s Iraq’s Jabal All-Fawghi with only 11% on the Iranian side and the rest on the Iraqi’s side.

Based on this report, the Iraqi’s fields of Bouzarghan, Abo Ghuraib  and Jabal Al-Fawghi are located in the neighborhood of Dehloran, Aban and West Paydar in Iran, among which Dehloran and Aban fields are shared with Abou Ghuraib while West Paydar is shared with Jabal Al-Fawghi.

Ebrahim Sekhavati, head of director of planning and coordination at Iranian Central Oil Fields Co. (ICOFC), has explained about West Paydar field. “The production of this field has gone beyond 30,000 bpd this year and it has been planned to increase this production rate to 32,000 bpd by yearend (March 2017).”
