At a joint meeting held with the members of energy committee of the Iran’s Parliament, held on Tuesday, 17th of April 2018, Iran oil minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh described the major activities of oil ministry in the last (Iranian) year (ended late March 2018), and said: “Final talks over signing several other contracts are currently underway with companies from Indonesia, China and Russia under new contractual model (IPC),” reported the news agency of Iran oil ministry.

Referring to the increasing trend of Iran oil and gas condensates output last year, Zanganeh explained: “The average exports rate of Iran crude oil and gas condensates last year has come to 2.5 Mln bpd.”

Pointing out that Iran has left behind Qatar in daily gas production from South Pars shared gas field, he clarified: “The remaining phases of South Pars gas field, except for phase 11 and a part of phase 14, will get completed this (Iranian) year.”

Stating that Iran daily production from West Karoon shared oilfields currently exceeds that of Iraq, he added: “In order to maintain this state, required investments should be made in these fields.”

“Iran gas exports to Iraq started last year,” continued Zanganeh. “Presently, a volume of 10 mcm/d of gas is exported to Baghdad. Iran is also ready to export gas to Basra.”
