Iran oil minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh appointed Alireza Sadegh Abadi as the deputy minister and managing director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Co. (NIORDC), replacing Abbas Kazemi.
According to the PR office of NIORDC, Zangeneh also appointed Sadegh Abadi as the main board member of NIORDC for three years. Kazemi has been also appointed as the advisor to Zangeneh.
Sadegh Abadi is a PhD candidate in Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), and has a BSc and MSc degrees in mechanical engineering. Earlier, he had been serving as the managing director and deputy chair of the board of Siraf Refineries Infrastructure Co. (SRIC).
Besides, he used to be the deputy chair of the board of Marjan Petrochemical Co., main board member of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ), downstream project manager at Dana Energy Group, managing director and board member of Institute for Oil and Sustainable Development International Studies and Researches as well as managing director of Tavan Niroo Arad Co.
