The 3rd Iranian Petro Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Conference will be held on 18-19 July 2017 at Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) in Tehran, Iran.
CSR represents business ethics and recognizes the role of organizations concerning stakeholders involved including social, economic and environmental issues.
The third conference of social responsibility in petroleum industry follows objectives concerned in the past two conferences and the slogan ‘Policy, Effective Action and Sustainable Reporting’, while concentrating on social and environmental factors.
The conference objectives are:
- To exchange CSR experience and to identify challenges, opportunities and strategies related to corporate social responsibility in petroleum industry,
- To contribute to the consolidation, policy and strategy of CSR in the oil industry to function effectively with positive implications,
- To contribute to CSR regulating in petroleum industry via participation of oil companies,
- To contribute to aligning objectives, expectations and activities of oil companies and people,
- To motivate organizations and companies active in petroleum industry, to concentrate and take action regarding CSR in order to contribute effectively to the sustainable development of operational areas the industry is involved in,
- To encourage these organizations to adopt sustainability reporting, using frameworks like GRI standards ISO26000,
- To introduce and show appreciation for companies active in CSR.
The conference will be inaugurated by Iran Oil Minister Bijan Zangeneh with the following speakers at the inauguration ceremony:
- Masoumeh Ebtekar: Vice- President and Head of Environmental Protection Organization,
- Amir Talebian: Social Advisor, Ministry of Petroleum & Conference Scientific Committee Secretary,
- Gholam Reza Manouchehri: Conference Chairman and Deputy Managing Director of NIOC in Engineering & Development,
